Bremont H1 Generation
A New Generation Of Innovative Models From The British Watch Company
Bremont released the limited edition Longitude model a couple of years ago that was equipped with a new in-house movement. Now the first collections of the same watch series have been created; 'H1 Generation' which comes in two different movements; ENG365 and ENG375.
The prefix "H1" in the name pays tribute to Bremont's hometown of Henley-On-Thames and is also a tribute to the British self-taught watchmaker John Harrisons who with his revolutionary watch "H1" experimented with measuring longitude at sea as early as the 18th century.
The models are called Fury, Adler and Supernova which all have Bremont's famous Trip-Tick® case where the case construction is divided by an upper side that is connected to the lugs and a middle part that has a cool PVD coating.
All models also have 100 meters of water resistance and a screw-down crown to further protect the watches against external elements.
In-house Movements With High Precision
All Bremont H1 Generation's models have a variety of in-house movements from the ENG300 movement series and are certified according to Bremont's rigorous "H1 Timing Standard", which according to Bremont themselves is equivalent to the chronometer test ISO3159: 2009.
The movement's basic components and its assembly are made on site in "The Wing", which is the company's manufacturing center in the city of Henley-On-Thames, in the UK. The two variations of the movement series have 22 jewels and run at 25,200 vph and at a frequency of 3.5 Hz which gives a power reserve of 65 hours. The movements are beautifully decorated with, among other things, a tungsten rotor that is rhodium-plated.
Bremont Supernova
The Supernova model series has been developed over the past three years and has sporty and futuristic shapes that can be seen as a response to the famous sporty models we find in Patek Philippe's Nautilus, A Lange & Söhne's Odysseus, Girard Perregaux's Laureato and Audemars Piguet's Royal Oak, where the Royal Oak clearly inspired Bremont's design for the link.
The Supernova is the first model from Bremont to have an integrated link that also has small screws separating the link pieces, which are solid.
The Supernova comes in three iterations and measures 40mm in size. The case has a combination of shiny polished surfaces and brushed refined surfaces and through the glass on the back the in-house movement ENG375 is visible. According to Bremont themselves, it is an over-engineered watch that holds nothing back!
It is possible to choose between a white, black or midnight blue dial, where we find a date window, a smaller dial that shows the power reserve and super luminova on the hands and index markers.
Bremont Fury
Fury is Bremont's version of the classic pilot's watch. It comes in two sets that go back to the Bremont founders' passion for aviation and pilots, where both founders were actually pilots in the past. The pilot watch is what the Bremont company is best known for, which is also reflected in the company logo, which is of a propeller.
The name Fury pays tribute to some of the world's most famous aircraft; The Hawker Hury of the 1930s and the Sea Fury of the Second World War, thus these models beautifully tie in with historic British aviation history and Bremont's own aviation heritage in creating watches that celebrate pilots.
The case diameter is 40 mm which is the perfect size for a pilot's watch which historically is a watch of a larger size (often at least 43 mm).
The case is fully polished and the Bremont Fury comes in either a black or blue dial. The ENG365 movement that sits under the hood offers 65 hours of power reserve, which is also visible with a clear hand on the dial. To improve readability in all possible lighting conditions, super luminova has been placed on the hands and index markers.
If you are interested in a pilot's watch in a balanced size, look no further than the Bremont Fury, which is a future iconic watch from the British company.
Bremont Audley
The Bremont Audley is a sophisticated new model and one of the more dressed-up variants in the Bremont range. Audley belongs to Bremont's Mayfair collection, which is named after Bremont's first flagship store in Mayfair.
The simplicity of the design is evident at first glance, where its outstanding fully polished case and tapered dauphine hands together with a blue seconds hand give the model a unique expression. On the dial there is a discreet date function as well as a smaller hand that shows the power reserve of 65 hours produced by the in-house movement ENG365.
Audley comes in two models; the first is in steel with a classic silver dial and the second model is in 18k rose gold, with the same silver dial creating a contrasting gold watch that can easily be dressed up or down. Both models have an accompanying chocolate-colored leather strap, while the model in rose gold has a polished buckle that is also in 18k gold.
The Bremont Audley is a classic 40mm suit watch that has a durable case, creating an incredibly competently dressed gentleman that is rare to find on the watch market. Like all new models with the new movements in the H1 Generation series, the Audley also has a water resistance of a full 100 meters, which is unusual in a dressy model like this, especially one in rose gold.
You who like dressy watches, so with Bremont Audley, you don't have to worry about water damage, although leather straps are generally not recommended to be exposed to regular water splashes and environments.
A British Watchmaker On The Rise
British watchmaking has a long history of innovation, with Bremont now writing itself into the history books. It is an exciting development for the British company that has been creating watches for over 20 years, and which are now also manufactured on British soil.
As Bremont themselves put it: "The ENG300 in-house movement signals for the first time in 50 years that mechanical movements can be built on a large scale on British shores."
