Praesidus C-47 D-DAY - Aluminum Patina P-38-C47-B-RBRSG

With a dial from a C-47 Skytrain that paradropped troops on D-Day, the C-47 D-Day Aluminum Patina was made to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of D-Day on June 6th 2024.

Due to the origin of the dial (taken from a C-47 Hamburger door) each watch will offer a unique patina & scratch pattern.

For the indexes, we've used Swiss Super-Luminova and an extra-thick print for added volume ensuring high visibility in all conditions; especially as the aluminum can in certain conditions be quite shiny. The index style is taken directly from the markings painted on the fuselage of C-47s during D-D

Meant to commemorate the 60,000+ Airborne troops that landed in Normandy for D-Day operations, the C-47 Skytrain A-11 bears the markings of a plane that lived through WW2 and has since been restored.
