Sources for collecting personal data

In addition to the information you provide to us yourself, or that we collect from you based on your purchases and how you use our services, we may also collect personal data from third parties. The data we collect from third parties includes the following:

Address information from public registers to ensure we have the correct address details for you.

Creditworthiness information from credit reference agencies, which we obtain through payment service providers (Stripe, Klarna, PayPal, Resurs Bank).

Sharing of customer information

When necessary to provide our services, we share your personal data with companies that act as data processors for us, such as providers of transportation services, payment solutions (card acquirers, banks, and other payment service providers), marketing (print and distribution, social media), IT services, and insurance companies. These companies are independently responsible for their own privacy policies and data handling. To manage watch repairs and service matters

Receipt of watches for repair, handling and execution of repairs. Communication regarding repairs, dispatch when the repair is completed.

Name, contact details (email and phone number), information regarding the service matter and any damage, information about the repaired item (for watches: reference number and unique serial number, dates of previous repairs), any notes provided by the customer.

Performance of the service agreement.

Until the service is completed + 36 months thereafter for complaints and warranty claims.

To handle customer service matters and inquiries

Communication and answering questions to customer service (via phone or digital channels, including social media). Identification. Investigation of complaints and support matters (including technical support).

Name, contact details (address, email, phone number), correspondence with the customer, information about purchase time/place, fault/complaint, or product/service interest.

Legitimate interest.

Until the customer service matter has been closed.

To administer membership in Fredmans Club

Creation of login functionality on www.fredmans.com Verification of identity and age. Maintenance of accurate information. Access to purchase and payment history. Personalized offers, news, recommendations, inspiration, and event invitations. Analysis of collected data.

Name, personal identity number, date of birth, gender, contact details, purchase history, payment history, information about purchased items (watches: reference & serial number), username and password, profile settings and preferences.

Performance of the membership agreement in the loyalty program.

Until the membership is terminated (manually).

To deliver a personalized experience

Creation of personalized content, relevant product recommendations, specific benefits and offers. Simplified use of services. Personalized communication based on behavior. Analysis of collected data.

Name, username, age, gender, place of residence, membership level, purchase history, user-generated data (click/visit history, communication channel preferences).

Performance of the membership agreement in the loyalty program.

To fulfill the company’s legal obligations

Necessary handling to fulfill legal obligations (e.g., Accounting Act, Money Laundering Act).

Name, personal identity number, contact details, payment history, correspondence, purchase information, watch details (reference & serial number) for tracing in case of theft or damage.

To prevent misuse or crime

Prevention and investigation of fraud or violations. Prevention of spam, phishing, harassment, unauthorized access. Protection of IT environment.

Personal identity number, purchase and user-generated data, technical data (IP address, browser settings, device info, etc.), video recordings from camera surveillance.

Legal obligation or legitimate interest.

36 months from collection. Camera surveillance material: 24 months.

 

Where is customer personal data processed?

We always strive to process all personal data within the EU/EEA. Regardless of the country in which your personal data is processed, we take all reasonable legal, technical, and organizational measures to ensure that the level of protection is the same as within the EU/EEA. How long is personal data stored?

We never store your personal data longer than is necessary for the respective purpose (see table above).

Processing of personal data concerning children Fredmans does not target children and does not knowingly collect personal data about children under 13. Guardians should contact us if they become aware of such data.

Handling of personal identity numbers We do not store personal identity numbers digitally unless clearly justified and minimize their use by using date of birth where possible.
